This summer, our home in Brooklyn was filled with laughter and excitement as we welcomed my brother Nick and cousin Jimmy from England. Their visit was a delightful continuation of last summer’s adventures, and we were thrilled to have them back. Here’s a glimpse into our wild and wonderful week together.
With Toby and his dad out of town, Jimmy and Anton took the reins, planning our itinerary with enthusiasm. Their choices included iconic spots like the Friends building and energetic afternoons playing soccer in Central Park. Of course, no visit would be complete without indulging in their favorite Walkers crisps.
An escape to Connecticut
After a few days in the city, we decided to take a trip to Connecticut to visit my friend Sharon. The boys were eager to dive into her pool, and I was equally excited to see her stunning garden. The boys’ adventures
The boys made the most of their time in Connecticut, swimming and jumping on the trampoline. They also showcased their appetites, tackling a massive snack plate with gusto. Their energy and antics reminded me of a litter of puppies, full of life and constantly on the move.

One evening, Jimmy tried his first oyster, describing it as “tasting like the ocean” and admitting it “wasn’t too bad.” This small moment was a testament to the many new experiences we shared during their visit.
