Amy Holmes is an American news anchor, political commentator and former Republican strategist. He hosts a politically conservative talk show on PBS entitled ‘In Principle’ with fellow commentator Michael Gerson. He analyzes and discusses the issues of the day, appearing regularly on CNN, MSNBC, Fox News and PBS.
Previously, Holmes was a news host on Glenn Beck’s TheBlaze TV and a former host of TheBlaze Real News news discussion program.
From 2015 to 2016, she was the host of Way Too Early, which airs weekdays on MSNBC at 5:30 am Eastern Time, as an introduction to Morning Joe.
She also appeared as an independent political contributor on Fox News and for CNN and appeared several times on Real Time with Bill Maher.
He attended Princeton University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts with a major in economics in 1994. While at the university, Holmes was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta. While still in Princeton, he founded Ahimsa, an animal rights group that opposes animal testing.
Holmes co-hosted ‘The View’ and co-hosted Fox News’ Glenn Beck while Beck was on the road with his’ Unelectable ‘show. Additionally, she appeared on the HBO show Real Time with Bill Maher.
Holmes was a host of a morning radio show published by the Washington Times newspaper called ‘America’s Morning News’.
She has appeared with Cenk Uygur on MSNBC Live and Morning Joe, Reliable Sources and Media Buzz.
After working for the Independent Women’s Forum from 2003 to 2006, Holmes wrote Senate statements for Bill Frist, a two-term US senator from Tennessee and leader of the Republican majority.
