Aroldis Chapman (born as Albertín Aroldis Chapman de la Cruz) is a Cuban-born American professional baseball pitcher for the Major League Baseball (MLB) New York Yankees. He previously played in MLB for the Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cubs and in the Cuban National Series for Holguín. Chapman beats and throws with his left hand, and is nicknamed the Cuban missile or the Cuban flamethrower.

Chapman pitched for Holguín nationally and internationally for the Cuban national baseball team. He defected from Cuba in 2009 and signed a contract with the Reds in 2010.

Chapman made his MLB debut that season. He won the MLB Delivery Man of the Month Award for Best Rescue Launcher for July 2012 and was named to four National League All-Star Teams from 2012 to 2015.

The Reds swapped Chapman for the Yankees after the 2015 season and the Yankees swapped Chapman for the Cubs during the 2016 season. With the Cubs, Chapman won Game 7 of the 2016 World Series. He signed with the Yankees after the 2016 season.

On July 11, 2014, Chapman broke the record, previously held by Bruce Sutter, for the most consecutive appearances with a strikeout, having knocked out at least one hitter in 40 consecutive appearances. The Chapman series started on August 21, 2013,and lasted 49 consecutive games over two seasons, with the 49th and last game on August 13, 2014.

It shares the record for fastest pace speed recorded in MLB history, at 105.1mph (169.1km / h),as well as the Guinness World Record for the fastest baseball field.

Prior to the start of the 2016 season, Chapman became the first player to be suspended under the MLB’s domestic violence policy. Although he was not charged with a crime, he was suspended for 30 games due to ‘Chapman’s use of the firearm and its effects on his partner’.

Albertín Aroldis Chapman de la Cruz is a Cuban-born American professional baseball pitcher for Major League Baseball’s New York Yankees. He previously played in MLB for the Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cubs and in the Cuban National Series for Holguín. He was born on February 28, 1988, Holguin, Cuba. He is 31 years old in 2019.

While he may not be the tallest man out there, Aroldis has a very good height and body weight which helps him be the good player he is. In numbers, he stands at 6 feet 4 inches tall and a body weight measuring 212 pounds.

Just like most of the pitcher’s life is interesting, no matter how you choose to look at it, his relationship life is no different. He has had a number of relationships in the past.

When he defected permanently from Cuba, Chapman had a girlfriend named Raidelmis Mendosa Santiestelas. Interestingly, he only left three days after Santiestelas gave birth to the couple’s daughter, Ashanti Brianna, who he never got to see before deserting. Although both the mother and baby would later join him in the United States, the relationship later broke off.

After her relationship with Raidelmis Mendosa Santiestelas ended, the next woman Ardolis met was Cristina Barnea. The relationship between the two became known in 2014 and was publicly known as Tina, (as Cristina Barnea is also known) was open about it on social media.

However, in 2015, the relationship seemed to have hit the rocks and the police were invited to the MLB standout home because there was a domestic abuse case against him. According to reports, Tina Barnea found something on Chapman’s phone that she didn’t like and decided to confront it. In retaliation, he said he pressed her against the wall before she ran into the bushes and called the police. The MLB star also made 8 hits; 7 in the wall of his garage and one through the window.

The two would soon sort things out and stay much closer still. While there is no evidence that the two are married, Tina with whom the baseball player shares a daughter, Angelina Chapman, describes herself on social media as a wife and mother.

Chapman also has another son, Atticus Gabriel Chapman who was born to him on June 30, 2014 to an unknown woman.

The pitcher left the Reds in 2015 for the New York Yankees in an exchange that saw him switch teams with Caleb Cotham, Rookie Davis, Eric Jagielo and Tony Renda. In 2016, he signed an annual contract with the team worth over $ 11 million. However, he was forced to miss 30 games following a domestic abuse case against him.

Gleyber Torres, Billy McKinney, Adam Warren and Rashad Crawford would be sent back by the Yankees on another exchange for Chapman by the Chicago Cubs. This wouldn’t last long as the New York Yankees would be back again by the end of 2016 to sign him on a five-year contract worth $ 86 million after he helped the Cubs win the 2016 World Series.
