A night of elegance: Moncler and Miley Cyrus celebrate fashion and music
In a dazzling prelude to the Met Gala 2025, Moncler orchestrated an exquisite evening at the renowned Casa Cipriani, inviting over 200 luminaries from the fashion and entertainment industries. The event, held on May 3, was a celebration of creativity, collaboration, and the vibrant spirit of Black elegance, coinciding with the upcoming release of Miley Cyrus’s album, Something Beautiful.

Fashion and music intertwine

As the sun dipped below the horizon, guests were treated to an exclusive live preview of Cyrus’s highly anticipated album, set to debut on May 30. The atmosphere was electric, with the air filled with excitement and anticipation. Edward Enninful, the former editor-in-chief of British Vogue and a key collaborator with Moncler, welcomed attendees with a heartfelt reflection on his journey in fashion. He expressed his admiration for Moncler’s innovative approach to design and collaboration, stating, “To create something from my mind in partnership with Moncler was truly a dream come true.”

Star-studded guest list

The evening was graced by a constellation of stars, including Anne Hathaway, Colin Kaepernick, and Heidi Klum, who mingled over exquisite hors d’oeuvres and champagne. The culinary offerings included the famed carpaccio and grilled ham and cheese sandwiches from Harry’s Bar in Venice, adding a touch of Italian flair to the soirée. As the night progressed, the guests were ushered into the Jazz Café for a mesmerizing performance by Cyrus, who captivated the audience with her new ballad, “More to Lose.”

A celebration of Black dandyism

The theme of the evening resonated deeply with the upcoming Met Gala’s focus on Black style, aptly titled “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” Conversations flowed about the significance of Black dandyism and its historical roots in fashion. Guests like Evan Ross and Willow Smith reflected on the elegance of past icons, emphasizing the need to honor and revive the rich cultural heritage of Black fashion. Laverne Cox eloquently articulated the transformative power of fashion, noting how it serves as a medium for liberation and self-expression.

As the night unfolded, the synergy between music and fashion became increasingly apparent, with Cyrus’s heartfelt words echoing the sentiments of the gathering. She expressed gratitude for the connections forged through art, stating, “This week is about outer beauty, but my heart is focused on the love and intention behind it all.” The evening culminated in a celebration of creativity, unity, and the enduring legacy of Black style, leaving attendees inspired and eager for the Met Gala.
