In the competitive world of international pageants, Filipino aspirants are making waves by prioritizing health and wellness as key components of their preparations. These candidates are not only focusing on physical appearance but also on fostering confidence, authenticity, and resilience. Their holistic approach to beauty is inspiring a new generation to value self-care and personal growth.
Wendell Pamfilo, a candidate for Mister World Philippines, emphasizes the importance of a balanced diet and regular exercise. Hailing from Nueva Ecija, Pamfilo is acutely aware of the Filipino diet’s richness and the need for moderation. “I’m always very conscious of what I eat, my sleep, my diet,” he shares. “Rice is not bad once in a while, but balancing your diet is very important since health is very important, too.”
Empowering the youth through sports
Pamfilo’s commitment to health extends beyond his personal journey. He is passionate about empowering the youth through sports, aiming to inspire children to move away from screens and engage in physical activities. “I wanna inspire them that there’s more to this in the world and there’s a lot of activities, a lot of clubs nowadays like sports,” he says. Pamfilo envisions creating an organization that supports education and sports for underprivileged children, helping them pursue their dreams.
His vision for the future includes establishing an organization that provides educational opportunities and sports training for children in need. “In the future, I wanna put up an organization where kids just get enrolled, especially the ones who are in need,” Pamfilo explains. “Since we are a third world country, I wanna put up an organization where I hope they finish college and pursue the sport that they want to do in the future.”
Confidence and authenticity in beauty
Gwendoline Meliz Soriano, a candidate for Binibining Pilipinas, shares a similar philosophy. With years of pageant experience, Soriano believes that true beauty is not about perfection but about confidence, authenticity, and resilience. “In my years of pageant experience, there’s one thing I realized when it comes to beauty, and it’s that true beauty isn’t about looking perfect and looking good all the time, but it’s about being confident, authentic and resilient,” she states.
Soriano emphasizes the importance of holistic self-care, including the use of supplements to support “It is about how we rise up every time we fall and about taking care of ourselves holistically with the help of the right supplements like Snow Caps Gold so that we can serve others better because true radiance comes from the strength and goodness of our hearts,” she adds. Her confidence and authenticity have made her a standout candidate, radiating a sense of empowerment that resonates with audiences.
As the coronation nights for Mister World Philippines and Binibining Pilipinas approach, these candidates are setting a new standard for beauty pageants. Their focus on health, confidence, and youth empowerment is not only preparing them for international competitions but also inspiring a generation to value self-care and personal growth. The Mister World Philippines 2026 coronation night will be held on June 21 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City, while the Binibining Pilipinas 2026 coronation night will take place at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, with two crowns up for grabs.
