On October 11, his daughter Lyssa announced that Dog the Bounty Hunter is returning to Colorado. According to accounts, the celebrity’s true name is Duane Lee Chapman, and he was injured in Florida while looking for Brian Laundrie. A local reporter originally reported the injuries, which Lyssa later verified. We don’t have many details, but we do know it happened when he was in Florida.
When Chapman joined the hunt for Laundrie in late September, he made headlines, and he has since achieved a number of breakthroughs. Then, on October 10, he hurt himself, forcing him to put his efforts on hold for the time being. However, as Lyssa revealed, the search for Laundrie is far from done.
Is Dog in good health?
Chapman’s whereabouts are unknown, but WFLA reporter Josh Benson tweeted, “Dog the Bounty Hunter’s crew just sent me an update. He’ll be returning to Colorado shortly to see his doctor after hurting his ankle during the search, according to reports. He’s also trying to raise money to continue his ‘expensive hunt.'” Because further information isn’t accessible, it’s unknown how serious Chapman’s injury is.
Nonetheless, it looks substantial enough for Chapman to halt his personal activities and return to Colorado. Lyssa verified this on Twitter, saying, “Dad is returning to Colorado for a short while to take care of some business. (Remember, he was on his honeymoon in Florida.) We’re still looking for #BrianLaundrie and have a team in Florida. I’ll share anything I can with you, as always.”
Chapman has not commented on the injury, and we have no clue how long he’ll be out or whether he’ll ever return to the field in Florida due to the lack of information. Even if he doesn’t, the famous bounty hunter has made it obvious that he has no plans to stop looking for Laundrie.

Personal and professional lives
Chapman was the ninth of Duane “Dog” Chapman’s twelve children. Lyssa Rae Brittain (née Greene), his third wife, is her mother.
